Lakeside Memorial Hospital to Reopen as Outpatient Surgical Facility

Lakeside Memorial Hospital in Brockport, N.Y., announced it will close its doors and reopen as an outpatient and diagnostic care center, according to a Democrat and Chronicle report.

Lakeside’s inpatient beds were only filled 30 percent on a daily basis, according to the report. While still in the early stages of restructuring, the hospital expects to keep its endoscopy, imaging and ambulatory surgery services.

The transition could take place by April, according to the report.
