Alaska Surgery Center Breaks Ground

Groundbreaking for The Surgery Center of Fairbanks (Ala.) will occur this week, according to a report in the Daily News-Miner.

The ASC will be owned by Mark Wade, MD, an orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Wade recently received a certificate of need for the facility, which was opposed by Fairbanks Memorial Hospital ownership.

The ASC will feature two operating rooms and “cutting-edge technology,” according to the report.
