Coordinated Health operates 14 facilities across the region, including the two hospitals, an ambulatory surgical center and walk-in immediate care centers.
Highmark broke with Coordinated Health in September. During the separation, an average patient with Highmark insurance would have received approximately 50 percent reimbursement for services, rather than 80 percent, creating potential volume problems for the health system.
The agreement means patients with Highmark coverage will be able to receive in-network coverage for hospital services at Coordinated Health facilities.
