Dr. Rosen is a board certified pain management physician who has been the head of several private pain practices including the Central Coast Pain Institute. He found prolotherapy, a method of injecting a solution at the injury site to stimulate the body’s own healing mechanism, useful when combating his own pain problems. He found, however, that his patients shied away from injections and hence developed a gel-based formula of the solution.
During his research Dr. Rosen documented ProloGel treatment results in 50 patients who suffered from upper and lower back, wrist, neck and ankle pain. Over 75 percent found relief with the gel.
