New York Mets Pitcher R.A. Dickey Undergoes Surgery at Philadelphia’s Jefferson Surgery Center

New York Mets pitcher R.A. Dickey recently underwent surgery at Philadelphia’s Jefferson Surgery Center, according to a New York Times report.

Mr. Dickey, 37, won 20 games for the Mets this season, becoming one of the leading candidates for the National League Cy Young Award. His surgery, for a torn abdominal muscle, was performed by William Meyers, MD.

The team said the procedure was successful and Mr. Dickey will be ready for spring training.
