As of Oct. 8, the CDC reported a total 105 meningitis cases, including eight deaths, in connection to contaminated steroid injections prepared by NECC. The steroid injections have since been recalled, the state of Massachusetts is requiring all compounding pharmacies to acknowledge they are following regulations on compounding medications, according to the report.
Alaunus, Ameridose and NECC are all owned by engineer Gregory Conigliaro and pharmacist Barry Cadden.
