MedStone recently acquired Stonegate Surgery Center located in Austin, Texas, and is currently searching for an ASC Administrator.
Responsibilities of Administrator:
• The person in this position is responsible for the overall management of the center including oversight of pre-op, OR, PACU and business office functions, marketing, business development and physician relations.
• Provide leadership to the program planning process, providing clinical and operational expertise to the development of the annual goals and objectives.
• Ensures the ongoing effective fiscal management of the Center. Ensures timely completion of all required financial and operational reports, responsible for the monitoring of expenses and the reporting of variances recommending changes as needed to meet projected net income.
• Demonstrates leadership ability and exceptional professional behavior while conducting day-to-day operations.
• Develops and maintains an effective marketing program that encompasses physicians, patients, medical group and third party payers as surgery volume development is a major function of this position.
• Safeguards the Cent’s assets and ensures that Centers building and/or improvements and equipment are maintained in good working order and in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
Requirements for Administrator:
• MBA preferred with a minimum of three plus years in the ASC industry. CASC certified would be a plus.
Skills Required:
• Management experience is crucial and ASC experience and/or a business background preferred.
• Proficiency in budgeting, financial management, clinical service management and material management is required.
• Proficiency in the use of word processing and spreadsheets is required.
• Qualified candidates for this position will have previous health administration experience along with experience in managing an ambulatory environment.
• Additionally this person should definitely possess a strong commitment to excellent clinical outcomes, cost efficiency, product enhancement and high business ethics.
