The University of Toledo (Ohio) Medical Center has suspended its transplant program, according to a New England Cable News report.

The hospital acknowledged “human error” ruined a kidney before it could be transplanted into a patient with end-stage renal disease. Additional details about the error were not reported. Two nurses were suspended as a result of the failed transplant procedure.
