- Encourage all staff members to participate in changing the present culture by contributing ideas on improving patient care.
- Openly discuss the current processes in the practice. Find out which staff members have knowledge in areas that need to be fixed, and let them take the lead.
- Do a daily or weekly huddle, and use the time to review what happened the previous day or week and any anticipated challenges in the day ahead.
- Share positive stories and successful patient outcomes with staff members.
- Recognize each staff member with a friendly greeting in the morning and thank each other for a job well done.
