North Carolina Hospital Opens Surgery Center

Northern Hospital of Surry County in Mount Airy, N.C., will soon open a five-suite surgical center, according to a report in the Mount Airy News.

The $22.5 million, 58,000 square-foot ASC will offer general, orthopedic and gynecological surgery and endoscopy services.

The center will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology and include pre-admission testing, inpatient and outpatient surgery suites, a post-surgery recovery area, sterile processing, and visitor waiting and lounge areas.
