ASGE Announces 2012-2013 Governing Board

The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy has announced its 2012-2013 governing board, according to a news release (pdf).

The appointees began their service effective May 21. In addition to announcing the naming of Thomas Deas Jr., MD, MMM, FASGE, to president, the following were announced as board members:

  • President-elect: Kenneth K. Wang, MD, FASGE, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn.
  • President-elect-elect: Colleen M. Schmitt, MD, MHS, FASGE, Galen Medical Group, Chattanooga, Tenn.
  • Secretary: Kenneth R. McQuaid, MD, FASGE, VA Medical Center, San Francisco
  • Treasurer: Douglas O. Faigel, MD, FASGE, Mayo Clinic, Scottsdale, Ariz.

 

There are also seven councilors and two past presidents serving on the new board.
