Ophthalmologist and ASCRS Founding Member Dr. Brooks Poley Dead at 78

Brooks Poley, MD, an ophthalmologist and a founding member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, has died, according to a news release.

Dr. Poley was 78. He died in April in McAllen, Texas.

 

In addition to Dr. Poley’s 30 years in practice, he served as president of the Minneapolis Society of Medicine, assistant clinical professor at the University of Minnesota Medical School and chief of staff at Eitel Hospital in Minneapolis.
