Bausch + Lomb Names John Barr Global President of Surgical Business

Bausch + Lomb has announced it has named John Barr as its global president of the company’s surgical business, according to a news release.

In this role, Mr. Barr will oversee the company’s suite of ophthalmic surgical products, intraocular lenses and delivery systems. These include brands such as enVista Crystalens, Stellaris PC, Storz and VICTUS.

 

Prior to joining Bausch + Lomb, Mr. Barr served as president and CEO of AGA Medical, a developer of minimally invasive devices to treat structural heart defects and vascular abnormalities. He has also held positions at V.I. Technologies, Haemonetics and Baxter Healthcare.
