Healthcare Employment Up for May 2009

A recent report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics showed that healthcare employment increased by 24,000 jobs in May, keeping in line with the average monthly job growth for 2009.

Jobs for ambulatory healthcare services were up 17,600 from April to May 2009, with a 2,200 increase at outpatient care centers, according to the report.

Hospitals saw jobs increase by 300 from April to May, after seeing a slight decline in the previous month.
