W.K. Kellogg Foundation Provides $400k to Michigan Device Incubator

The W.K. Kellogg Foundation in Battle Creek, Mich., has provided $400,000 in new funding for a medical device incubator in Kalamazoo, Mich., according to an MLive.com report.

The foundation provided the grant to the Michigan Medical Device Accelerator, an incubator for medical device companies. It was launched in 2010 by Southwest Michigan First, an organization of privately funded economic development advisors in Southwest Michigan.

 

The not-for-profit incubator seeks to invest in medical device companies early in their development of new devices. It has a portfolio of more than 40 companies.
