The most significant increases occurred in high population states such as Florida, California, Ohio and Texas. The total number of disciplinary actions rose from 5,652 to 6,025, according to the annual summary from the Federation of State Medical Boards. These actions include the loss of a physician’s license to practice, the loss of certain medical privileges and public reprimands.
