The report noted that FDA enforcement reports documented 277 medical device recalls in the first quarter. While this figure is a significant increase over the fourth quarter of 2011, it’s a 14 percent decrease in the number of recalls over the first quarter of 2011.
Of the documented recalls, 250 affected customers nationwide and 176 affected customers in the United States.
