North Shore opened in May 1989 and was formed by Ather Mirza, MD, and Enrico Mango, MD, who are still with the center. Currently, the center has over 100 doctors who have clinical privileges at the center and over 85 staff members.
North Shore is a multi-specialty center that specializes in orthopedics, pain management and gastroenterology. The center performs approximately 800 cases per month, up significantly from the 20 cases per month it performed when it first opened.
