Ambulatory and Outpatient Services to Be Re-Added to Cheboygan Memorial Hospital

Cheboygan Memorial Hospital will reopen ambulatory and outpatient surgery services at the end of May, following an acquisition by McLaren Health Care Corporation, according to a Cheboygan Daily Tribune report.

According to the report, the former CMH will be a department of McLaren – Northern Michigan. Services to be re-established in Cheboygan include the emergency room, as well as laboratory and imaging services with a May 14 goal date set for re-opening.

McLaren, which has already hired 54 former CMH employees to staff its clinics after CMH’s closure on April 3, hopes to have approximately 150 former CMH employees hired during the initial re-opening process.
