Dr. Daller performs the procedure using a tool called the plasma button. Dr. Daller said the procedure is virtually bloodless because, unlike with traditional surgery, it uses a gas to vaporize the insides of the prostate. Traditional surgery requires hospitalization, whereas this procedure can be performed on an outpatient basis.
