In his annual “state of the clinic” address, CEO and president Delos M. “Toby” Cosgrove, MD, reported that the health system’s total revenue in 2011 increased 5 percent over 2010, reaching $6.18 billion. Operating income rose 22 percent to $305 million, and investments went up 10 percent to $4.3 billion.
In 2011, the Clinic opened new outpatient health and surgery centers in Twinsburg and Avon. Services in East Cleveland transitioned from inpatient care at Huron Hospital to outpatient care at the Stephanie Tubbs Jones Health Center.
