State Gov. Steve Beshear announced the partnership on Tuesday, including a proposed budget of $1 million for the screenings to be matched by the Kentucky Cancer Foundation, totaling $2 million over the next two years. The funds will go toward the Kentucky Colon Cancer Screening Program, which the state legislature created in 2008 but never funded.
