This was the first total hip replacement to be done at the Pinnacle III-managed center. However, Dr. Eickmann says it will not be the last. “What used to have a two to four day recovery rate for these types of surgeries can now be done in the outpatient setting,” he said in the release. “My patient came in a week after surgery for a follow-up check up unassisted, walking on their own.”
The company says the combination of surgical advancements and a safe and clean environment will enable more advanced procedures to be done in the ASC setting.
