New York Hospital Must Shut Down Lab, Move Patients Due to Violations

The New York State Department of Health has ordered Peninsula Hospital in Far Rockaway to suspend its clinical laboratory, stop admitting new patients, cancel all surgeries and procedures and develop a plan to transfer inpatients to other facilities after an inspection found the hospital laboratory failed to meet accepted standards.
