Rep. Jim Matheson Co-Sponsors ASC Quality and Access Act of 2011

U.S. Representative Jim Matheson (D-Utah) has opted to co-sponsor the ASC Quality and Access Act of 2011, according to an ASC Association release.

Rep. Matheson toured Salt Lake Surgical Center last year to educate himself on surgery center care. He is in his sixth term in Congress and holds a seat on the Energy and Commerce Committee, which has jurisdiction over many issues concerning surgery centers.

The ASC Quality and Access Act now has 39 sponsors and co-sponsors in the U.S. House.
