The hospital agreed to purchase the ambulatory surgery center and received a loan to help cover the costs of the acquisition late last year.
The hospital took official ownership of the ASC on Jan. 3. It is estimated that the center will add 2,330 surgery cases to the hospital, bringing in a projected net annual cash flow of more than $500,000 annually.
The surgical center’s new name is Henry County Medical Center Surgery Center.
