The pillow, developed by Irish company Gabriel Scientific, uses a filter made from a membrane normally found in heart stents that helps keep germs out of the stuffing of the pillow.

A clinical study of the pillow — called the SleepAngel — showed it to be more hygienic than regular pillows.
