The loan was approved by the Henry County Commission. The hospital’s plans to acquire the ambulatory surgery center were reported earlier this month.
The $7 million covers the ASC’s $5.8 million purchase price and the cost of the $1.2 million da Vinci surgical equipment at the center.
The ASC’s physicians will continue to staff the surgery center, with Henry County Medical Center operating the business.
