Dr. Thomas Grogan Joins Ambulatory Surgical Group’s Medical Advisory Board

Thomas J. Grogan, MD, a pediatric orthopedist based in Santa Monica, Calif., has joined the medical advisory board of the Ambulatory Surgical Group, according to an announcement from ASG.

Dr. Grogan will work with ASG’s executive team to develop strategies for increasing orthopedic revenue and profits at the company’s surgery centers.

Previously, Dr. Grogan was assistant chief at the Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children in Los Angeles and has spent several years in managed care consulting as an orthopedic surgeon in addition to his private practice. He received his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College and completed his orthopedic residency at UCLA as well as several fellowships in pediatric orthopedics, trauma and NIH-sponsored joint replacement surgery. He has also worked with the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons on many projects, including handbooks and seminars.
