According to documents released last week by the board of medicine, Dr. Boese reviewed X-rays of the wrong patient. He then attempted to repair a fractured hip, but the patient had a fractured pelvis, according to the report.

In addition to the monetary settlement, Dr. Boese agreed to submit a corrective action plan to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future.
