Doug Peter: In addition to the impact of higher out-of-pocket benefit plans, the consumer is generally fearful of spending dollars on healthcare services, just as they are with spending dollars elsewhere in the economy. This is especially true with elective procedures.

DP: Manage the margin, and focus on being more efficient with same store volume.
