The Colorado Healthcare Affordability Act would leverage state funds to draw down more federal funding in order to provide coverage to 100,000 uninsured Coloradoans through Medicaid and the Child Health Plan Plus.
In addition, hospitals would be required to pay "provider fees," which would generate an additional $600 million with $600 million in matching funds. The funds would also improve hospitals’ reimbursement rates from Medicaid and the Colorado Indigent Care Program.
