Airport Security Officers Charged in Oxocondone Transport Scheme

Three federal Transportation Security Administration officers have been charged with taking bribes to help smuggle oxycodone through airports in Florida and New York, according to a WFLX Channel 29 report.

An individual arrested in Stamford, Conn., told authorities he bribed two TSA officers in Palm Beach, Fla., and one in White Plains, N.Y., with cash and gift cards to allow thousands of oxycodone pills through airport security in flights from the Florida to the New York airport.

 

A total of 20 people were arrested in the scheme, including a Florida trooper and a New York Police Officer.
