The hearing will allow members of the public to share their comments about Southeastern Regional Medical Center’s proposed $13.7 million outpatient surgery center, according to the report.
Health system officials filed a certificate of need with the state earlier this year. The certificate of need process involves a public hearing on the project.
The three- to four-story building will house outpatient surgical services as well as physician offices as retail operations, according to the report. The approval process for the certificate of need could take approximately six months.
