The article addresses a new study set to be published in Psychological Science. The study results indicated a patient-safety focused message in handwashing-reminder signs placed by soap and disinfectant dispensers encouraged increased and more frequent use of soap and disinfectant than generic signs or signs focused on the safety of the soap and disinfectant user.
