Dallas-based United Surgical Partners International, Tenet Healthcare’s ASC arm, grew third-quarter revenue 7.5% to $1.37 billion, even as same-facility surgical cases fell 1.5% year over year.

Adjusted EBITDA rose 9.1% to $537 million, and the margin widened to 39.2% from 38.6% a year earlier, Dallas-based Tenet reported Oct. 29.

Same-facility net revenue per case climbed 6.1%, which Tenet attributed to higher acuity and a more favorable service mix. Same-facility systemwide revenue rose 4.5%, down from 8.3% growth a year earlier.

As of Sept. 30, USPI had interests in 535 ASCs and 25 surgical hospitals across 37 states. Tenet expects the segment to finish 2026 with $5.53 billion to $5.67 billion in revenue and $2.16 billion to $2.22 billion in adjusted EBITDA.

Chairman and CEO Saum Sutaria, MD, said the quarter’s results reflected “sustained strength in same-store revenue growth and effective expense management.”

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
