The University of Kentucky Gill Heart & Vascular Institute Affiliate Network has added two new partners in Kentucky.
Maysville, Ky.-based Meadowview Regional Medical Center and Flemingsburg, Ky.-based Fleming County Hospital joined the network, providing them with direct access to cardiovascular expertise from the UK Gill Heart & Vascular Institute, according to an Oct. 14 news release from the University of Kentucky.
Physicians, providers and staff at the facilities will receive advanced cardiac education, training and resources that aim to strengthen local heart care and improve cardiovascular health.
The Gill Affiliate Network works with 31 regional and community hospitals across the state to expand access to cardiovascular care and reduce the prevalence of heart disease.
“Joining the UK HealthCare Gill Heart & Vascular Institute Affiliate Network is a significant milestone for both Meadowview Regional Medical Center and Fleming County Hospital,” Kathy Vancampen, CEO and market president of both facilities, said in the release. “By collaborating with UK HealthCare, we are empowering our local physicians and staff with top-tier educational resources, advanced training and clinical expertise.”
