BGO, a real estate investment manager, has acquired a portfolio of 11 ASCs across nine U.S. markets.

The 100% leased, 223,000-square-foot portfolio includes surgery centers with established affiliations with major health systems as well as relationships with national ASC operators, according to a Sept. 30 news release from BGO.

Ophthalmology, orthopedics, gastroenterology, ENT, podiatry, plastic and reconstructive surgery, pain management, urology and endoscopy are among the specialties across the portfolio.

BGO acquired the ASCs from a joint venture of Flagship Healthcare Properties and AEW Capital Management. Flagship Healthcare Properties will continue to provide third-party management services across all 11 ASCs in the transaction, the release said.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
