Fort Wayne (Ind.) Medical Oncology and Hematology is closing its Bluffton, Ind., clinic and consolidating services at a new Decatur, Ind., location to expand cancer care access in the region.
According to a Sept. 21 news release, the Bluffton facility closes Sept. 29, with patients transitioning to the new Decatur clinic starting Oct. 1. Fort Wayne Gynecologic Oncology, FWMOH’s gynecologic oncology division, will begin offering services at the Decatur site Sept. 23.
FWMOH, founded in 1977, treats more than 40 types of cancer and operates as part of American Oncology Network, a network of more than 350 providers across 21 states. The practice’s physicians include Matthew L. Carr, MD; Michael Epstein, MD; Richard Zhang, MD; and nurse practitioner Carrie Boots, MSN, APRN-BC, OCN. Gynecologic oncologists Scott Goodrich, MD, and Iwona Podzielinski, MD, will see patients at the new location.
