Centricity Business 5.0 has 221 new features, which can support customers in the following five ways, according to a GE Healthcare press release:

- Provide real-time clinical and financial interoperability through tighter, closed-loop connectivity between Centricity Business and any EMR
- Provide organizations with native ICD-10 support
- Streamline enterprise-wide patient scheduling
- Reduce cost to implement, support, and maintain Centricity Business through virtualization
