The Mankato (Minn.) Surgery Center is planning a 70% expansion as patient demand continues to grow, according to a July 18 report from The Mankato Free Press.
The center, which currently has four operating rooms, will add two more ORs. The expansion project is expected to take about 13 months, with the goal of using the new operator rooms by the end of 2027.
The surgery center opened as a 15,000-square-foot facility in 2002 and added 5,000 additional square feet in 2014.
The Mankato Surgery Center provides outpatient procedures including general surgery, orthopedics, gastroenterology and eye surgery, according to its website.
