Leawood, Kan.-based NueHealth has named Daniel Tasset, founder and executive chairman, as CEO, effective following the June 30 retirement of CEO Michael Sheerin.
According to a news release shared with Becker’s, Mr. Sheerin will move to NueHealth’s Board of Advisors, where he will continue offering strategic guidance. Before joining NueHealth, he served as senior vice president at Rothman Orthopaedics and spent more than 15 years at the University of Pennsylvania Health System overseeing hospital operations and physician practice management.
NueHealth also promoted Whitney Courser to chief operating officer and CJ Kadel to chief financial officer. Ms. Courser has been with NueHealth since 2003 and has led development of ASC partnerships, specialty hospital ventures and healthcare real estate deals, including a Mid-Atlantic orthopedic network valued at more than $500 million. Mr. Kadel previously held finance leadership roles at C2FO and PwC.
The company separately appointed Lisa Dutterer as senior vice president to support growth across the Mid-Atlantic region. Ms. Dutterer previously held executive roles at Jefferson Health New Jersey, Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice, St. Luke’s University Health Network and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
