Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health has begun construction on a new medical campus in Meridian, Colo., according to a May 13 Hoodline report.

The campus will include a full-service hospital, an ASC and physician clinics. The project is being developed on a 42-acre site that CommonSpirit acquired in late 2024.

The campus is intended to serve one of the Denver metro area’s fastest-growing regions and improve access to coordinated care.

CommonSpirit previously said construction was expected to begin in the third quarter of 2025 after demolition work started earlier this year. The health system has not disclosed an opening timeline.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
