Fort Myers, Fla.-based Lee Health has begun construction on a pediatric surgery center and family medicine clinic expected to open in early 2028.
The two-story, 60,000-square-foot facility will be located next to Golisano Children’s Hospital and HealthPark Medical Center. The first floor will house four pediatric operating rooms and two endoscopy suites, according to a May 13 news release.
The second floor will include a family medicine residency clinic tied to Lee Health’s graduate medical education program, along with pediatric and family medicine services.
The project has received more than $21 million in philanthropic support from individuals, foundations, estates and corporate partners.
Landmark Healthcare Facilities is serving as developer for the project, while Stevens Construction was selected as construction partner.
