The 19 GI codes added to the ASC-covered list

Nineteen gastrointestinal diagnostic codes, spanning esophageal motility studies, capsule endoscopies and breath tests, have been added to the ASC-covered services list, a move that could expand access to specialized GI testing in outpatient settings and reshape how facilities bill for these procedures.

Here are the 19 procedures:

91117Colon motility (manometric) study – minimum 6 hours continuous recording
