Maryville, Tenn., city officials will vote April 7 on whether to approve a proposed 129,000-square-foot ASC and outpatient medical office backed by Greenville, S.C.-based Prisma Health, according to a March 31 report by ABC affiliate WATE 6 News.

The project would be built on a former golf course and include both medical offices and an outpatient diagnostic center. The Maryville Planning Commission recently recommended approving the rezoning of the property from residential to business and transportation use, the report said.

Prisma Health acquired Blount Memorial Hospital, also in Maryville, in 2024.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
