Mississippi Wins More Than $38M in Suit Against Sandoz

Mississippi has won more than $38 million in a Medicaid fraud lawsuit against pharmaceutical company Sandoz, according to a news release from Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood's office.

The case involved allegations that Sandoz inflated its wholesale drug prices, leading Mississippi to overpay on drug prescriptions.

The state is currently pursuing legal action against 54 pharmaceutical companies accused of defrauding the state's Division of Medicaid using similar tactics. The Sandoz case was the first to go to trial.
