Medical Facilities Corp. Added to the S&P/TSX SmallCap Index
Medical Facilities Corp., which owns controlling interest in four specialty surgical hospitals and one ambulatory surgery center, has announced it will be added to the S&P/TSX SmallCap Index, effective after the close of trading on Sept. 16, according to an MFC news release.
The S&P/TSX SmallCap Index provides an investable index for the Canadian small cap market.
"The addition of Medical Facilities to the S&P/TSX SmallCap Index is another important milestone in our history as a publicly traded company," said Dr. Donald Schellpfeffer, CEO of MFC, in the release. "Our inclusion in this index should both increase our exposure to potential investors and provide for enhanced trading liquidity of our stock."
