HFAP-Accredited California Hospital Implements Innovative Pharmacy Automation Solution
St. Mary Medical Center, part of the St. Joseph Health System in Southern California, has partnered with a pharmacy automation leader to reduce medication errors and improve its patient safety, according to a report from the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP), which accredits the hospital.
The 194-bed St. Mary Medical Center was established in 1956 and is home to the High Desert's only comprehensive cardiovascular program including the Academy of Heart Care Excellence.
The hospital also serves as the designated STEMI receiving center for north San Bernardino County, according to the HFAP report.
