Laurel Laser & Surgery Center in Pennsylvania Celebrates 10k Cataract Removals
The physicians at Laurel Laser & Surgery Center in Duncansville, Pa., removed their 10,000th cataract this month, just six years after the facility began offering cataract removal, according to a report in The Altoona Mirror.
The surgery center is part of the eye care practice at Laurel Eye Clinic, and the Duncansville location opened in 2007. Stewart Van Horn, MD, serves as the surgery center's medical director.
More than 30,000 cataract removals have taken place at the surgery center's Brookville, Pa., location since 2000.
